Behind every Salesdorado article there’s someone who has actually done the job. People who have hired sales reps, rolled out CRMs in companies of 15 and of 500, and who remember very clearly the projects that went badly. We write about sales because we practise it, not because the topic drives traffic.
None of our content comes out of an automated pipeline. We use AI as a working tool, never as a byline. What you read was thought through, written and edited by a person whose name appears at the top of the page, and who you can write to.
Why do we do this?
When you go looking for a sales tool, you land on the same pages every time: recycled comparisons, invented ratings, articles listing fifteen products without ever saying which one to pick. Salesdorado came out of that irritation.
The starting idea fits in one sentence: write what we’d have wanted to read when we were shopping for a solution ourselves, with a clear opinion and the limits stated up front. If a tool doesn’t fit your situation, we’ll say so. If we find a product mediocre, we write that too.
How do we work?
We test the tools we write about. That means opening an account, importing data, breaking things, and sometimes giving up halfway because the product doesn’t hold up. Those moments are what make a review worth reading.
We also talk a lot to vendors, and even more to their users. The most interesting remarks rarely come from product pages. They come from sales directors who have lived with the tool for eighteen months and have a very precise opinion on what doesn’t work.
How do we make money?
Salesdorado is free for you, so someone else pays. In this case: affiliate links, sponsored content labelled as such, and partnerships with vendors. Better to say it plainly than bury it at the bottom of a page.
If something looks ambiguous on a specific piece, ask. We’d rather answer than leave any doubt hanging.
Who do we write for?
Our readers are sales leaders, marketing managers, SME owners and freelancers who sell B2B. They’re spread across every market we cover, and our content exists in four languages.
What they have in common is a budget that isn’t unlimited and no procurement team to make the call for them. That’s who we write for, with recommendations built on what a tool actually costs in use, not on its list price.
We answer
A question about a tool, a disagreement with an article, an error spotted in a comparison table: write to us. We read everything and we reply. Several of our most-read pieces came straight from a reader’s question.
