Your buyers no longer start all their research on Google, and organic traffic curves show it almost everywhere. A growing share of purchase decisions now goes through ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and the likes of Perplexity, which people ask which tool to choose and which provider to contact.
If your brand does not show up in the answers of these answer engines we call “LLMs”, you lose visibility with your prospects. That is the whole point of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and a new category of software has just emerged to manage it. Mentionable is one of them: a French tool, available from €79 per month, that gets a lot of praise in the French-speaking SEO ecosystem.
What is the data it surfaces really worth? Can you use it if you are not an SEO expert?

GEO in two minutes (and why it matters to you)
When you ask ChatGPT a question, it does not send you ten blue links. It breaks your question down into sub-queries (the famous fan-out queries), queries traditional search engines, reads a handful of pages and synthesizes an answer citing three to five sources. No page 2, no position 8. Either you are one of those sources, or you are invisible.
GEO is about maximizing your chances of being cited and recommended in LLM answers. In practice, that means structured content that AIs can extract easily, and external validation: customer reviews, comparisons, specialized press, forum discussions. AIs trust what third parties say about you at least as much as your own website.
An important point: GEO does not replace SEO, it builds on it. AIs go through search engines to find their sources and split your pages according to their structure. A poorly ranked site will also be poorly cited. That is exactly the territory of GEO tools like Mentionable: measure your presence in AI answers, then tell you where to act first.

Who is behind Mentionable?
Mentionable was launched in mid-January 2026 by Alexandre Rastello, a French full-stack developer who is building the product alone, without outside funding. Nine months later, the tool claims more than 140 client brands and more than 130,000 prompts run every month.
This solo builder profile is not a detail, it is the product’s signature. The founder documents everything publicly on LinkedIn: his recurring revenue, his pivots, the features he kills and even his mistakes. The very concrete consequence for you: speed. The pace is that of a product built in the open, often in response to customer feedback posted the week before.
Around the tool, a small ecosystem: a free 74-lesson GEO course (initially paid), a directory of hand-vetted agencies and an open source playbook for plugging Mentionable data into your workflows.
Salesdorado’s takeBuying a tool from an independent developer changes both ends of the experience. Support is the founder, and a feature request can ship within days. On the other hand, the product’s future rests on one person and the roadmap can pivot fast. Nothing deal-breaking in our view given the price and the lack of commitment, but factor it in, especially if you plan to build an agency offer on top of it.
Getting started with Mentionable: a carefully crafted onboarding
Setup starts with a single piece of information: your homepage URL. Mentionable analyzes your site and infers your brand name, any aliases and a description of your business. Everything is editable, and we strongly advise you to review that description: it drives everything that follows.

You then specify the target country and language, plus additional context if needed (a sector focus, for example). The tool then generates around fifteen purchase-intent prompts specific to your market.
Not definition questions, but the phrasings a buyer actually types. You sort the suggestions, add your own, then select the engines to track among the 7 covered (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews).

The first scan starts right away and the first mentions come in within minutes. Count on less than an hour between creating your account and a dashboard that starts teaching you very concrete things about your site’s visibility in LLMs.

Salesdorado’s tipYour prompts are the foundation of everything else. Work on them seriously from the start, favoring purchase-intent phrasings on your core market. A sloppy setup on day 1 means a month of mediocre data.
What Mentionable teaches you (that you could not have guessed)
Rather than a laundry list, here is what the tool brings to each stage of your GEO work: measure, understand and act.

1 – Measure: your share of voice against competitors
The dashboard tracks how your mentions evolve scan after scan, the prompts on which you come up and your share of voice against the market.

An interesting detail: you do not declare your competitors, Mentionable detects them directly in AI answers and you confirm or dismiss them. The prompt-by-prompt view shows where you dominate and where you get overtaken.

On the traffic side, a Google Analytics 4 integration isolates sessions coming from AIs and their share of your acquisition. It is useful for putting numbers on this channel, with one caveat: when the AI does not pass a referrer, attribution is an estimate. Read these figures as orders of magnitude.

2 – Understand: sources, fan-out queries and missed citations
The “sources” section lists the domains that AIs cite on your prompts, with their citation trend and the exact pages used, whether they are shown openly in the answer or simply consulted in the background. This is your map of the media that matter: if a comparison site or a review platform systematically feeds the answers in your market, you know where your brand needs to appear. Managing your customer reviews becomes a GEO lever in its own right along the way.

Fan-out queries go one step further. These are the sub-queries the AI runs behind the scenes before answering. Mentionable collects them and then classifies them. You discover the real angles through which AIs approach your topic, and each one is a content idea that no traditional keyword tool will give you.

And then there are missed citations, a genuinely original feature. The tool spots answers built from your own pages without your brand being named. Each case identified links to an audit of the page in question so you can understand what is blocking.

Salesdorado’s takeFan-out queries and missed citations justify the tool on their own. This is data you cannot rebuild by hand, even if you spend your days on ChatGPT, and it turns a tracking dashboard into an action plan. That is where Mentionable goes beyond being a simple thermometer.
3 – Act: page audits, priced backlinks and Reddit signals
The page audit analyzes a URL the way an AI crawler would and outputs a list of fixes prioritized by impact: heading structure, content extractability, structured data, freshness.
The backlinks module cross-references your opportunities with the prices observed on link marketplaces: you see which domains AIs already cite in your market and how much it would cost to appear there. Interesting if you have budget to invest in link building.

A word on Reddit signals, another module offered by Mentionable. AIs love Reddit, as everyone knows, and Mentionable identifies the discussions relevant to your brand, scores them by potential and even suggests draft replies in three tones.

Watch outAI-written Reddit replies that mention your brand have a name when done without finesse: astroturfing. Communities spot it fast and punish it for a long time. Use these drafts as a starting point, reply only where you have a real contribution to make and be upfront about who you are.
The last piece of the setup is the action log. Every GEO action you carry out (a publication, a link campaign) gets logged and appears as a marker on your visibility curve. Simple and valuable for linking your efforts to their effects.

MCP: your GEO data directly in Claude or ChatGPT
This is Mentionable’s most original bet and a rarity in the category to date: an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes all your GEO data to your AI tools. In practice, you query your citations, sources, fan-out queries or visibility by persona in natural language, directly from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. The official Mentionable playbook provides ready-to-adapt workflows, from auditing to client reporting.
The founder openly embraces a strategic shift: turning Mentionable into GEO data infrastructure rather than yet another dashboard. If your teams already work with AI agents, this is a real differentiator. The integration is available from the Pro plan.

The agency side: a machine for selling GEO
This is the least promoted part on the website, yet a very interesting one. Mentionable has built a real GEO audit production line for agencies and consultants.
The one-shot audit generates, in a few minutes, a report ready to hand to a client: competitive podium, prompt heatmap, sources that matter in the market, backlink opportunities, a written diagnosis and a content plan. The audit can be rerun every month to show progress in your reporting.

Bulk mode changes the scale: up to 500 audits run in parallel on the same set of prompts, with the cost spread across an entire niche. The typical scenario: you build a list of sites in a specific segment, launch the audits, export them to your prospecting tool, and each prospect receives a personalized audit in their name, with your CTA. The GEO audit goes from deliverable to closing tool.
All of it comes in full white label on the Agency plan: your logo, your colors, your name, your support email and even your own domain name. Mentionable disappears entirely.
How much does Mentionable cost?
Mentionable offers three plans, all excluding VAT, with about a 17% discount on annual billing.
| Plan | Growth | Pro | Agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | €79 | €149 | €299 |
| On annual billing | €66/month | €124/month | €249/month |
| Projects | 1 | 3 | Unlimited client projects |
| Tracked prompts | Up to 115 | Up to 231 | Up to 385 |
| Monthly scan credits | 1,500 | 3,000 | 5,000 + usage at €0.02/scan |
| AI engines | All 7 | All 7 | All 7 |
| MCP integration | No | Yes | Yes |
| White label and client audits | No | No | Yes |
| Who it is for | A brand starting to track its visibility | Several brands or projects in parallel | Agencies and consultants |
About how credits work:
- One credit equals one scan: one prompt, queried on one engine, for one persona. With 1,500 credits, you can for example track 50 prompts on the 7 engines four times a month. Your allowance therefore trades off between the number of prompts, the engines covered and the scan frequency.
- Page audits and Reddit enrichments draw from the same pool (count about 100 credits per page audit at the time of writing).
- On Agency, beyond the 5,000 credits, usage switches to pay-as-you-go with a monthly cap that you set.

Each plan includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time. There is no permanent free plan, but three free tools with no sign-up let you get a first impression: an AI visibility check, a page GEO audit and an llms.txt generator.
Salesdorado’s tipSeven days of trial is short for a tool whose value shows over time. Prepare your list of prompts before creating the account, set everything up on day one and push the scan frequency to the maximum. That way you will have six real days of comparable data to judge on the evidence.
