A prospecting tool first and foremost
Built to help you optimize your sales prospecting, Societeinfo is a very comprehensive tool. Its performance rests on one of the best French meta-databases. The tool itself lets you work with this data in a very simple and efficient way.
The technology behind Societeinfo compiles all the public legal data on French companies. We’re talking about sources such as Insee or INPI. But Societeinfo also draws on the data companies publish themselves, through their websites or their social media accounts. Overall, Societeinfo gives you access to data on more than 10 million French organizations.
But the tool’s main strength lies in its search engine, which gives you clear, structured access to this B2B data. The goal being to let you generate or enrich very high-quality prospecting lists.
More concretely, Societeinfo offers a whole range of filters to refine your searches:
- Directly on establishments (NAF code, key figures or type of activity, for example)

- By focusing on the contacts within these companies

Salesdorado’s takeThe data in their meta-database is the tool’s main strength. Societeinfo will give your sales prospecting a boost by letting you work with nearly 16M contacts in France.
Societeinfo offers a very advanced semantic search engine that lets you go very far by writing queries very simply, with keywords and logical operators. For example, the query “(Directeur OR Responsable) AND Marketing” will return all marketing directors and managers. You can then layer all the filters mentioned above onto these advanced searches.

Societeinfo as an enrichment tool
The application offers fairly advanced data enrichment features, notably through matching algorithms. These let you complete your prospect lists with the information missing on your key accounts, such as:
- Changes in key positions
- Ongoing insolvency proceedings
- A rise or fall in the company’s results

It’s hard for us to promise you a high level of data quality: that’s something to assess over the long term. The transparency about where the data comes from is to Societeinfo’s credit. Feel free to share your feedback on the quality of the lists with us.
Note that this feature proves much more effective for mid-sized and large companies with a significant web presence.
Salesdorado’s takeA very interesting side of the tool on paper, especially if you target mid-sized companies at the very least.
Ease of use: our take
Here, it depends a lot on your profile and what you expect from this kind of tool. Overall, you can feel Societeinfo’s intent to put data at the heart of its value proposition. The detail of the NAF codes associated with each industry, as well as the legal forms as shown earlier, are things you don’t always find in similar solutions.
If you’re less used to this level of detail, the filters may seem a bit complex at first, but you’ll get the hang of them quickly.
We find that the data enrichment interface, for example, through importing/exporting your files, works very well and is fairly intuitive.
Salesdorado’s takeOffering a high level of detail, especially in the filters, while staying as intuitive as possible is no easy task, but in our view Societeinfo pulls it off rather well. Let us know what you think in the comments!
Societeinfo’s APIs & integrations: full test
Societeinfo doesn’t only offer a SaaS solution, but also a fairly complete and well-documented API.
The main use cases are the following:
- Integrating forms
- Enriching your CRM: there is notably a Salesforce connector that works well, via Salesforce AppExchange.
- Updating your database periodically, for example to clean your customer database.
Societeinfo’s customer service
Societeinfo provides resources in the form of tutorials, depending on the type of feature you need. We think this knowledge base could go deeper, especially for advanced features such as data enrichment.
The tool is made in France, by French people, and support is in French. If you have a question, feel free to contact them at any time! We put it to the test and got a precise, relevant answer in under an hour (!).
Societeinfo pricing
On pricing, Societeinfo plays the transparency card, and that’s rare enough in this market to be worth pointing out. Good news to start with: you can create a free account to test the tool, then top it up with credits as needed, directly from your personal space. The price of these pay-as-you-go credits drops with volume, from €0.25 to €0.05 per credit, and they never expire. Perfect if your prospecting comes in bursts and you don’t want to pay a subscription for credits you won’t use.
If your usage is more regular, subscriptions quickly become more attractive. The first plan, Starter, starts at €39 per month billed annually for 3,600 credits per year. Next come Pro at €99 per month for 12,000 credits, Growth at €199 for 36,000 credits, and Scale at €299 for 72,000 credits. The higher you go, the less each row costs you: from about 13 cents per credit on Starter down to 5 cents on Scale. The number of users and the number of companies you can monitor also grow with the plan. Beyond 72,000 credits, you’ll need the Entreprise offer, on quote.
A quick tip: go for annual billing, which saves you 40% compared with monthly billing. And keep in mind that premium filters are only included from the Growth plan up.

Salesdorado’s takeA fully transparent price list and prices that stay affordable, with two ways to use the tool: pay-as-you-go for one-off needs, or a subscription for regular prospecting. Credits that never expire are a real plus. Our one small regret: you have to aim for the Growth plan to get the premium filters. But overall, an approach that makes you want to go further!
